Penn Delta Brothers – It’s that time of year again, i.e. our annual 4th quarter fundraising push. Please take time for our Penn Delta SAE House!
I’ve been sending out these requests for years now, so it should come as no surprise. Mike Rumsey, our Alumni Board President, sent a fall update last month, so I won’t repeat. But I will elaborate on our major construction effort this summer … for which I’m asking for your financial support. Below is a quote from an email sent this summer from Board Secretary Dave Byrnes to our Active Chapter President, Nick Corbi:
“I’m not sure if anyone has apprised you regarding the upcoming construction that will occur over the summer at the House. The board approved plans to renovate the bathrooms on the first and second floor and to add a bathroom to the third floor. The first-floor project will entail renovation to the public access bathroom as well as a separate bathroom for brothers with showers that utilizes the storage closet.
The second floor will be major. The bathroom will be expanded into the adjacent room – “the cave” – and will have 4 toilets and 3 urinals. The pass-through room adjacent will be more of a hallway with storage closets connecting the mid hallway to the bedrooms on the right side of the house & the third floor will have a toilet and sink!”
We believe this will make our fraternity much more competitive housing-wise on campus. Bouquet of violets to Byrnsie and our “house-man”, Brother Phil Heister, for working with our contractors to get this construction completed.
My following plea also should come as no surprise … I’ve been saying this for years as well:
WE CAN’T DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT!!! WE DEPEND UPON ALUMNI DONATIONS TO FUND MAJOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS TO OUR HO– USE!!!
This construction, approved unanimously by your alumni Board, cost us over $105,000. We need your support gentlemen!!
