It was announced March 16th by the Gettysburg College Administration that classes will be held remotely for the rest of the year and all students will be required to leave campus, including the active Brothers in the house. I feel for the Senior Class as they will not get to experience their final months of their Senior year.
The SAE Alumni Board has been in close contact with the Active Brothers and College Administration to work through this situation. Thankfully the active Brothers have been healthy and there have been no known cases of the coronavirus. We will be reaching out to the Alumni network to help the graduating Seniors as they enter what will certainly be a challenging job market. If you know of any opportunities to pass along to the Actives please let us know.
We will take this opportunity to thoroughly clean the house and address some needed maintenance items. We will be getting the House ready for Alumni Weekend (May 28-31). If this event happens, we look forward to seeing many of you there. We will keep you apprised of the developments with Alumni Weekend as they happen.
